Netabin | About

Netabin Cybersecurity grew out of the University of Maine Augusta`s (UMA) Maine Cyber Range (MCR) program. Netabin`s goal is to provide easy to implement cybersecurity programs for smaller networks such as the Small & Medium Business (SMB) and the Small Office Home Office (SOHO) markets.
Netabin uses and promotes the NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF) as its chosen cybersecurity framework.

Netabin was founded by Lee Haskell, a seasoned computer consultant and cybersecurity subject matter expert. He holds a UMA bachelor of science majoring in cybersecurity, and recently attained a UMA cybersecurity mater`s degree. Mr. Haskell has worked for the Maine Cyber Range since 2018.
He started his career in the computer business in 1976 as a Russian data intercept operator working for the U.S. Air Force reporting to NSA. He held a Top Secret SSIR Clearance and was based out of West Berlin behind the Berlin Wall.
Mr. Haskell`s career includes systems analysis, design, database development, programming, project leadership, sales management, and consulting management for such companies as Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC), IBM, Deloitte, Pepsi Internation, Cannondale Bicycles, N.Y. State Department of Banking, Guinness, Pepperidge Farm, Synon, CT Department of Labor, Elizabeth Arden, Mitsubishi, Athlete`s Foot, Picker International, Americares, Trenwick Insurance, Bally of Switzerland, EDS, Bank America, Leukemia Society, Taunton Press, Agri-Mark, Vestron Video, as well as over 100 smaller consulting clients. Lee Haskell, CSME

As an outgrowth and continued participation in UMA`s MCR, many of Netabin consultant`s are existing or former UMA cybersecurity students and MCR team members. Netabin has a stong working relationship with UMA`s cyber department and the MCR management.
Members of UMA`s MCR team built the SympleCyber core as a documentation and course material repository. The MCR team uses the developed systems and content for various MCR training courses.
